Yeweon Kim, who holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of California Santa Barbara, began her role as a postdoctoral fellow at the College of Information at the University of Maryland College Park in January 2024. Her research focuses on the impacts of information communication technologies on both individual and collective levels, particularly concerning their benefits and challenges for social interaction and civic engagement. As a member of the Marylanders Online team, she works on research aimed at developing policy and practice recommendations to advance digital equity and literacy.
